On International Anti-Corruption Day, students from more than\u00a060 schools create their own transparency flags, illustrating the values that are the most important to them.\u00a0The schools participating in the initiative are members of the Integrity Network of Schools. Since its creation in 2014, the network has grown threefold and now unites one in seven (173 in total) educational institutions from 94 localities in Lithuania.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Students create flags by answering three questions about transparency and fairness at school. Different colors and symbols reflect their choices.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe see\u00a0that\u00a0the creation of transparency flags helps students discuss values at school. Such discussions are very useful; thus, I am glad that more and more schools are joining the Integrity Network of Schools and are actively looking for new ways to talk to students\u201d says Ingrida Kalinauskien\u0117, representative of TILC.<\/p>\n

Integrity Network of Schools\u00a0is an informal initiative that was launched on the December 9th<\/sup>, 2014. Every Lithuanian school that promotes values such as integrity and transparency can join the initiative. During a period of four years, the network has grown nearly threefold: in December of 2014, 50 schools joined the initiative compared to 173 schools today. The aim of the network is to help schools share good examples and implement integrity and transparency initiatives easier.
\nThe\u00a0<\/strong>Integrity Network of Schools\u00a0is being developed by Transparency International Lithuania. This years\u2019 initiatives are financed by the French Institute in Lithuania and the\u00a0Washington\u00a0DC\u00a0Lithuanian Professionals\u00a0Club.<\/p>\n
