From June 20 to 25, Vilnius will be home to the 15th annual world Transparency International School on Integrity, where nearly 140 young leaders, academics, and experts from 50 countries will gather. With more than 1800 graduates, the school is the biggest event of its kind in the world.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Speaking about the occasion, the head of Transparency International\u2019s Lithuania branch said:<\/p>\n

\u201cI am thrilled that Vilnius is going to become the world capital of transparency for the 15th time. This year\u2019s participants will also have the opportunity to attend the International Anti-Corruption Conference. The whole world, our region included, is looking for ways to strengthen democracy, empower citizens, and combat corruption. I hope that the school’s inspiring discussions, new contacts, and seminars will help the attendants seek change in their own countries.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the week-long event, the participants will engage in intensive anti-corruption training and International Anti-Corruption conference sessions, where they will learn more about how to control risks associated with corruption and promote transparency in political, business, public finance, and other spaces. Special attention will be given to the development of practical skills, behavioral science applications in anti-corruption efforts, experience sharing, as well as the inclusion of youth in transparency initiatives.<\/p>\n

The leading anti-corruption and transparency experts from the United Kingdom, Columbia, Poland, Lithuania, Madagascar, Mexico, Norway, the Republic of South Africa, France, Sweden, Taiwan, and Germany will share their knowledge.<\/p>\n

The School on Integrity is being organized by Transparency International in Lithuania in collaboration with Mykolas Romeris University. This year, the event will be held at the National Mykolas Konstantinas \u010ciurlionis School of Arts.<\/p>\n

This year, the Nordic Council of Ministers, \u201cOpen Government Partnership\u201d, \u201cPact\u201d, Transparency International, the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Lithuania, the Taiwan Fund for Strengthening Democracy, the OSCE Bureau of Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, the European Commission, and \u201cGo Vilnius\u201d also aided in organizing the school.<\/p>\n
