The conference “Active communities. Transparent Local Governance. Informative technologies” was held in Vilnius in 12 June 2003. TILC is one of the organizers.

About 180 rural communities and representatives of municipalities from Lithuania, which are participating in the TILC project “Transparency for Regional Decision Making: E-empowering Public Control” and the projects of Open Society Fund Lithuania, participated in this conference.

The organizers of the conference are: the Lithuanian Academy of Science, Open Society Fund Lithuania, Transparency International Lithuanian Chapter, the UNESCO Chair in Informatics for the Humanities at the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics.
